Astralis kan byta till en internationell trupp efter att dev1ce och Magisk lämnat

Astralis have announced the departures of dev1ce and Magisk, who had been important parts of the team in recent times. These changes mark the end of the current lineup and the beginning of a rebuild. At the same time, the organization stated that it is considering the possibility of creating an international roster, meaning a team made up of players from different countries. Such a move could significantly change Astralis’ direction in the near future.

The situation with dev1ce and Magisk

dev1ce had been part of Astralis since 2022, but during that period the team failed to win a single major or prestigious tournament. Despite the overall struggles with results, dev1ce remained one of the most consistent players on the roster — over more than three years, his average rating stood at 1.17.

Magisk joined Astralis in September 2025 after an unsuccessful stint with Team Falcons. His arrival was expected to help the team take a step forward, but that did not happen. Astralis’ results did not improve, and Magisk’s average rating during his time with the team was 1.00.

dev1ce’s comment and Astralis’ position

After leaving Astralis for the second time, dev1ce addressed the community with a farewell message:

“I want to express my huge gratitude to all the fans who followed this journey from the very beginning back in 2016. And to everyone in the organization — you hold a special place in my heart.”

In their official statement, Astralis also emphasized that this move is a transfer of dev1ce to another team, not a career break or a move to an inactive status. This means his next step will be a new challenge outside the Danish organization.

So far, Astralis have not announced who will replace dev1ce and Magisk in the lineup. The organization is entering an important rebuilding phase, and the choice of new players could be crucial for the team’s future results. If Astralis truly want to improve and return to a high level in 2026, the replacements will need to be chosen very carefully.
