CS2-uppdateringen 22 april ger justeringar av spelupplägget, AnimGraph-fixar och överraskande förändringar i spelarsenalen

Less than 24 hours after the release of the CS2AnimGraph2 update, Valve has deployed another patch on Wednesday, continuing its rapid update cycle. In the latest release, the developers introduced several gameplay adjustments along with refinements to the newly implemented AnimGraph system. Notably, Valve initially overlooked an important detail in the patch notes, which was later clarified separately.

Key Changes in the April 22 CS2 Update

Valve even acknowledged the unusual frequency of updates with a lighthearted post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “We’ve prepared another dish.”

Gameplay Adjustments

One of the most significant updates focuses on camera movement during shooting. Valve has adjusted the camera motion to feel closer to what players experienced in CS:GO, while maintaining CS2’s current bullet trajectory system.

Additionally, when players take damage (aim punch), external impacts will now trigger full camera motion. Meanwhile, bullet trajectory effects continue to register instantly on the server, preserving responsiveness.

AnimGraph 2 Improvements

The update also brings several refinements to the AnimGraph 2 system:

• Minor tweaks to viewmodel animations
• Fixes for issues where crouch transitions in mid-air appeared instantaneous
• A bug fix for MVP panels not resetting properly

Missing Detail in the Patch Notes

Shortly after publishing the update, Valve shared an additional note revealing that several items will soon be removed from the Armory—something that was not included in the initial patch notes.

Overall, the April 22 update aims to make combat feel smoother and more responsive—an area many players have felt needed improvement since the launch of Counter-Strike 2.
