The investigation began after concerns were raised about:

  • Possible involvement in betting-related activities
  • Use of insider information
  • Failure to report corrupt approaches
  • Lack of cooperation during the inquiry

Throughout the process, ESIC issued formal requests and scheduled interviews with the player. However, Taiga did not provide substantial responses and failed to attend key meetings without valid explanation. As a result, the commission applied adverse inferences in line with its regulations.

Findings

After reviewing all available materials, ESIC concluded that Taiga:

  • Had contact with individuals potentially connected to betting or match-fixing
  • Was involved in communications and financial activity tied to betting on professional matches
  • Used or shared insider information for betting purposes
  • Participated in actions aimed at influencing specific in-game outcomes
  • Gained financial benefits from these activities
  • Did not report corrupt approaches and failed to cooperate with the investigation

The commission also highlighted that the lack of cooperation was deliberate and ongoing, which further worsened the severity of the case.

Final Ruling

Based on these findings, ESIC determined that multiple violations of both the Anti-Corruption Code and the Code of Conduct had occurred.

Given the seriousness of the offenses and their potential impact on the integrity of esports, ESIC issued its strictest penalty — a lifetime ban.
