eFootball is preparing to roll out its next major update, bringing a variety of new features and content changes. Alongside fresh additions, the update is also expected to include minor bug fixes and general improvements.

Here’s everything currently known about the upcoming update.

When Is the Next eFootball Update?

According to the official announcement, the next eFootball update is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Konami will release full update details on the same day. Players are strongly advised to complete all ongoing in-game objectives before the maintenance begins — especially time-limited events. Failing to do so could mean missing out on 100 eFootball Coins, as well as valuable skill and position training tokens.

What’s Coming in the Update?

End of the Ramadan Campaign

The update will officially conclude the Ramadan Campaign, making way for a brand-new campaign hub. Full details about the upcoming campaign are expected to be revealed soon.

Event Removals

Following the update, the following events will leave the game:

• Penalty Shootout
• Italian Clubs (PvP Mode)

New Weekly Promotions

Two new weekly promotional packs have already been confirmed:

• February 26, 2026 POTW (Players of the Week) Pack
• New ECL POTW Pack

Additionally, either a new Epic Pack or a Showtime Pack is expected to be introduced.

Importantly, there will be no reset to the eFootball League or divisions as part of this update.

Types of eFootball Updates

eFootball typically receives updates on a regular cycle, and they fall into three main categories:

1. Version Updates

These are major updates that introduce significant new content. They usually arrive during a season reset or alongside major tournaments such as AFCON or the AFC Cups.

2. Patch Updates

These are smaller updates that adjust features like the Nominating Contract selection packs and bring back limited-time events such as Treasure Link or eFootball Arena.

3. Weekly Updates

These occur every seven days and introduce new POTW and European Club Championship packs. Weekly updates also adjust live player ratings, which directly impact in-game performance.

How Often Does eFootball Update?

The frequency and duration of maintenance depend on the type of update:

• Version Updates: Once per year, typically during the season reset.
• Patch Updates: Usually once or twice per month, or occasionally every few weeks for smaller patches.
• Weekly Updates: Every seven days — the most frequent update cycle in the game.

When Does the Current eFootball Season End?

The current eFootball season will end on March 4, 2026.

Once the season concludes, all division-based events will reset. Players will need to start fresh in both Vs AI and PvP Division modes.

For competitive players pushing for higher divisions, this is the final opportunity to reach Division 1 before the reset.
