Explore the Dark World of Slitterhead: New Gameplay from the Creator of Silent Hill
At PAX West 2024, Japanese developers from Bokeh Game Studio unveiled an extended gameplay demo of their upcoming title, Slitterhead. The project is spearheaded by Keiichiro Toyama, the mastermind behind iconic horror games like Silent Hill and Siren. In Slitterhead, players will explore a unique concept that allows them to possess various characters, much like in Siren. You’ll take on the role of a spirit capable of inhabiting not just humans but even animals. This spirit will navigate a dark, atmospheric city inspired by the nighttime streets of Hong Kong, battling eerie monsters along the way.
One of the standout features of Slitterhead is its advanced combat system, which marks a departure from Toyama’s previous works. This new approach gives the game a distinctly action-oriented feel with a touch of Japanese flair. Slitterhead has been described as a blend of Resident Evil and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Several bloggers have shared a 23-minute gameplay demo online, offering a solid glimpse into what the game has to offer.
