The Blood of Dawnwalker kommer att ha en unik spelfunktion

We have a bunch of RPG video games confirmed to release next year. Among the most anticipated are such titles as Code Vein II, Nioh 3 and Crimson Desert, but there is one particular game that probably will be released in 2026 and it's deserves our attention - The Blood of Dawnwalker.

Set in 14th-century in Europe, the game will have an inquisitive main character; his name is Coen and makes him so special is that he is human by day and vampire by night. But what is really makes the game anticipated - people who are working on it. The Blood of Dawnwalker is made by Rebel Wolves, studios lead by Konrad Tomaskiewicz, who previously worked 17 years for CD Project RED and he also worked as director for The Wticher 3: Wild Hunt. By the way, he is not the only one who left CD Project RED to work on The Blood of Dawnwalker; there is a entire team of developers with big experience on RPG video games.

In recent dialogue with EuroGamer, Konrad Tomaskiewicz revealed some interesting feature of their upcoming instalment. He literally said that the game doesn't have a main quest and the players will form their own game experience during the walkthrought. According to Tomaskiewicz, developers decided to get inspired by board games that let players use any style of gameplay.

"There is no main quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker. You build your own experience from the quests you encounter. You know where your enemy is. You can attack this place anytime you want to. It's up to you if you want to do it by yourself, or if you want to build yourself, find the poweful items, develop your character, or do some quests and find allies to help you do it. We want to bring video games closer to pen-and-paper RPG and give you the freedom to experience what you want to experience"

It's really an interesting way to make RPG video game and it's totally different what we saw in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Blood of Dawnwalker currently doesn't have a release date, but it's probably releasing somewhere in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
