Horizon Hunters Gathering får snart en sluten speltestning

Horizon Hunters Gathering is the latest installment in the game series, announced earlier this month. Unlike Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, Hunters Gathering offers a new experience in the Horizon franchise, as it’s a co-op action game where three different players are teaming up to fight against dangerous robotic machines.

Although the release date for the game still remains unknown, Guerrilla recently announced a closed playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering that will take place soon—it's starting on February 27 and lasts until March 1. Playtest is available on both PC and PlayStation 5. You can apply for playtest here.

The closed playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering is confirmed to include three characters—Sun, Rem, and Axle—and also the players are able to play two game modes—Machine Incursion and Cauldron Desert. Machine Incursion is a wave-based survival, while Cauldron Desert is described as a multi-stage dungeon with ever-changing challenges.

As for another standalone Horizon title, the director of Guerrilla studio Jan-Bart Van Beek confirmed they will make more single-player games in the future. This report comes almost immediately after the announcement of Horizon Hunters Gathering announcement and Bloomberg’s report that Horizon 3 is in development as well but won’t be released soon.
