Ezio Auditore förväntas dyka upp i det nya Assassin's Creed-videospelet
The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Hexe video game is looking like one of the most long-suffering titles in the franchise. Although it was announced back in September 2022, the game has already lost its creative director, Clint Hocking, who was working for Ubisoft for more than 20 years. Hexe also doesn’t have a release date after 3.5 years since the announcement, and that may concern some players.
Finally, we have some new details about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, as gaming insider Tom Henderson recently appeared on the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, where he shared some new information about the project. According to Henderson, Assassin’s Creed Hexe’s combat system is being fully reworked, and we might expect a lot of acrobatic moves to be in the game, as Ubisoft even hired a contortionist for mocap. Ubisoft Montreal is betting big on the game, though the studio is working on more titles as well.
Although the release date remains unknown, Tom Henderson stated it’s currently being eyed for holiday 2027. At last, an insider reveals that iconic Assassin’s Creed character Ezio Auditore is set to appear in Assassin’s Creed Hexe as the mentor to the protagonist. Of course, all of this information is not confirmed by Ubisoft and should be considered with a grain of salt, but having Ezio in the game would definitely bring back the original Assassin’s Creed fans and make Hexe a way more anticipated project.

Unfortunately, Tom Henderson hasn’t revealed anything about the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which is also in development at Ubisoft but still hasn’t been announced and doesn’t have a release date. Hopefully, we will hear more official information on upcoming Assassin’s Creed titles, as the franchise recently has received an updated team who will work on the game series. Martin Schelling (senior producer on Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed: Origins, and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla) is now appointed as the head of brand, François de Billy (production director of Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla) will be the head of production excellence, and Jean Guesdon, the new creative director of Assassin’s Creed Hexe replacing Clint Hocking, will have a role as head of content. He also previously worked as the designer of the original Assassin's Creed video game, and creative director of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Assasssin's Creed Origins.
