CD Projekt RED avslöjar nytt DLC till The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been one of the hottest speculations over the past few months. We’ve seen plenty of reports about its setting, possible story, possible connection to the upcoming The Witcher 4, and a recent report by notable gaming insider NateTheHate confirms the expansion is real, and we just have to wait for the official announcement from CD Projekt RED.

It looks like we finally have some evidence of rumored DLC for the third The Witcher installment teased by CD Projekt RED itself. As the studio revealed its latest financial earnings report, it also stated the developers are working on some unannounced titles. Although there is no mention of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game or the new DLC, this clearly fits with a lot of rumors we heard about possible add-on. “In the coming quarters, the Studio will focus primarily on further development work on ongoing projects; we also plan to publish one of the heretofore unannounced gaming projects”

It’s also been revealed that not CD Projekt RED but Fool’s Theory are developing a new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The studio is also working on The Witcher remake, announced back in October 2022. Considering CD Projekt RED is busy with multiple big-budget and ambitious video games, including The Witcher 4, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and their newest IP, Project Hadar, it makes sense another studio is developing a well-anticipated DLC.

According to the latest rumors, the unannounced DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be set in Velen and lay the groundwork for The Witcher 4. It’s even possible Ciri, the protagonist of the fourth installment, will be the main character in the expansion.
