Nästa PlayStation State of Play kommer enligt uppgift att äga rum snart

Last month, PlayStation held a 1-hour-long presentation, State of Play, which has been truly massive. Besides new trailers for upcoming releases, a lot of new titles have been announced there, including an untitled AAA video game based on John Wick, two new God of War installments, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection - Volume 2, and more. Although Sony hasn’t confirmed when the next State of Play will take place, recent rumors by gaming insider shinobi602 suggested it’s set to happen this May. Another reliable scooper, Millie A, confirms his words, and in his recent post on X social media, he reveals it is currently scheduled for late spring or early summer, as you can check out below:

“PlayStation has initiated partner outreach discussions with a select group of publishing and development stakeholders to evaluate content readiness and availability for a potential State of Play broadcast, currently being scoped for late Spring/early Summer window.”

There are plenty of upcoming exclusives Sony may reveal at the next State of Play. We already know Marvel’s Wolverine, the next project from Insomniac Games, will release this September, and developers recently confirmed they will reveal more information this spring. Over the last few weeks, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet received an update as the game’s page appeared in the PlayStation Store, and that might indicate Naughty Dog will present some footage of their new IP soon. At last, according to Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos in God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok, the next mainline God of War game might be revealed this summer, and insider NateTheHate has heard Faye will be the main character and the game is set to be revealed this year. If the next PlayStation State of Play is scheduled for the summer of 2026, it might be the perfect opportunity to finally announce the project.
