Strauss Zelnick förutspår en våg av sjukdagar den 19 november, när GTA 6 släpps

Grand Theft Auto VI, the latest installment from Rockstar Games and the most anticipated video game of 2026 (and maybe this generation, too), will be released this November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This has been stated on numerous occasions by the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, but with no new information about the game, some fans are already starting to have their doubts.

However, we just received a strong hint that GTA 6 will be released as planned—on November 19—which was once again mentioned by none other than Strauss Zelnick. He visited the iicon conference, during which he joked that many players might call in sick on the day Grand Theft Auto VI is released, as you can check out below:

“I think a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19.”

There is even a whole theory about how the release of GTA 6 could affect the world or change it for 24 hours. The study cites an incredible strain on Rockstar Games’ servers, a potential internet outage, and the absence of students from school and workers from their jobs. And given the scale of GTA 6, these aren't just empty words—they're entirely plausible.

During his visit to the iicon expo, Strauss Zelnick also speculated about the potential price of GTA 6, without going into specific details, and hinted that Rockstar Games might be working on a new installment of L.A. Noire, the 2011 detective game.

We also know Take-Two confirmed their next earnings call conference on May 21, and a lot of fans remain hopeful to receive potential new information about GTA 6, as it usually happens. Moreover, there is a chance that Rockstar Games might potentially announce the new trailer of the game this month —as they did with their previous installments.
