The only confirmed Ubisoft project for 2026 is Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced—a remake of the 2013 game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. But the company is also actively working on more titles for other major franchises, and a new report confirms this and hints at when these games might be released.

The new company’s financial report confirms Ubisoft is aiming to release a “significantly bigger content pipeline” through 2029 —including Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, and Ghost Recon. The studio also 'boasted' that its recent releases, namely Assassin's Creed Shadows, Anno 117: Pax Romana, and the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora expansion, received 'more than 80 points on Metacritic,' which caused a mixed reaction among fans. The report also mentions that over the past year, more than 1,000 employees were laid off from Ubisoft as part of cuts, and the number of people at the moment is 16,590 specialists.

As for Ubisoft's future projects for major franchises, there have been quite a few rumors lately about upcoming Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon games, and you can check out more information about all of them below:

  • Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe—the next mainline game in Assassin’s Creed franchise, announced in 2022. Set in the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire, it features a female protagonist named Anika. She is the descendant of Claudia Auditore, Ezio’s sister. The iconic Ezio Auditore is also set to make an appearance in Codename Hexe. The game loses all magical elements that were previously planned and is now expected to be more grounded. Set to release in summer 2027 but may be postponed to the holiday season the same year.
  • Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus—a multiplayer Assassin’s Creed title developed by the same team who worked on For Honor. It's a knockout-round-based title where players will be able to choose iconic Assassin’s Creed characters to fight with each other in recognizable locations from the franchise’s lore. The release date is still unknown, but according to recent testing, so far the game looks “terrible” and might be postponed once again, since it has already been postponed in internal developer calendars. It is possible that it might even be cancelled.
  • Far Cry 7—The game is reportedly set in Alaska and rumored to feature a separate extraction mode. Might be at the final stage of development, as Ubisoft recently hired a ‘Game Production Closer’ for the game series. Rumored to release in 2027, with the official announcement possible to happen this year.
  • New Ghost Recon Game—According to Tom Henderson, it will be the next game Ubisoft plans to release after Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The game is reportedly set in Asia, inspired by Ready or Not, and will allow players to make their own squad, select preferable characters for missions, etc. It will also feature fewer UI elements to make it more realistic.

Besides these titles, Ubisoft is also developing more projects, which are already confirmed and unannounced as well. These projects are the remake of Rayman Legends, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and more.
