Dead by Daylight slår rekord: Spelet sätter nytt rekord för flest samtidiga användare

This week, Dead by Daylight celebrated its tenth anniversary, prompting Behaviour Interactive to share their plans for the future development of the asymmetrical horror game, as well as to offer fans various gifts and bonuses. As a result, ten years after its release, Dead by Daylight broke its record for the highest number of simultaneous players.

According to SteamDB, Dead by Daylight recently saw over 125,000 players online simultaneously, setting an all-time record that surpasses the previous high of 120,000. This surge in player activity comes as no surprise. In addition to the developer’s earlier surprises, such as the activation of 10 million Bloodpoints in the in-game store, the game also received an update featuring Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise. Furthermore, various discounts are currently available for the game, including on Steam. Meanwhile, Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that the total number of concurrent players across all platforms now exceeds 250,000.

Regarding the future plans for Dead by Daylight, which the studio revealed during a special livestream celebrating the game's 10th anniversary, it was announced that Chapter 26, titled The Life Road, will focus on Shane Wiigwaas, the first Native American survivor. In August, Chorus of Sin—a new chapter developed collaboratively by the creators and the gaming community—will be released. Additionally, new characters will include Art the Clown from the movie Terrifier and Frank Stone, a figure from Dead by Daylight's lore and its spin-off, The Casting of Frank Stone. Looking ahead to 2027, Dead by Daylight will introduce mod support and character model updates.

We also know that the horror game will receive a movie adaptation by Blumhouse-Atomic Master, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring, Insidious) and Alexandra Aja (Mirrors, Maniac) set to serve as screenwriters. During the stream, it was also announced that Thordur Palsson, known for his work on projects like The Valhalla Murders and The Damned, will be directing the film.

Dead by Daylight is now available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
