S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope kommer att återuppliva ännu en välbekant karaktär från det ursprungliga videospelet

The biggest event for all S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans is the release of the new DLC for the second installment, titled Cost of Hope. Last week, GSC Game World unveiled a new story trailer for the expansion and revealed the first details. Additionally, a recent report confirmed the return of a character from the very first game in the series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

The official moderator of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Discord community, known as Mol1t, revealed that General Voronin will return in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope. General Voronin is a character from the original game who is also mentioned in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat but is completely ignored in the Heart of Chernobyl storyline (though he is in the game). He is the leader of the Duty faction, and it has been revealed that popular Ukrainian actor Oleksii Horbunov will provide both the voice and likeness for the character. Additionally, the moderator confirmed that the weapon shown in the recent Cost of Hope trailer is called the SIC — Self-loading Infantry Carbine.

The Ukrainian Actor and Face Model for General Voronin is Oleksii Horbunov

The New Rifle shown the new Trailer is called Self-loading infantry carbine (SIC) and will use 7.62x54 ammo in-game.

It was also previously revealed that Suslov—a scientist from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky— will also return in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope. He will assist Skif, Zulu, and the new heroine, Mavka, in uncovering the secrets behind past experiments, especially Project X.

In addition to Cost of Hope, GSC Game World is also working on Patch 2.0 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, as revealed by a recent leak. The patch is expected to be released before Cost of Hope.
