Silent Hill: Townfall får fem slut och en spellängd på 14 timmar
The first reviews of Silent Hill: Townfall—a new spin-off developed by Screen Burn—have started rolling in. The game is set for release on September 24, but we can already draw some conclusions, and judging by early impressions, we're in for a genuinely terrifying, non-linear experience.
Gaming outlets have already gotten access to an early version of Silent Hill: Townfall and shared their thoughts. For instance, IGN pointed out the first-person perspective as one of the game's biggest advantages, noting it builds incredible horror vibes. The game's also drawing comparisons to Alien: Isolation, which isn't astounding. Jon McKellan, who worked on the 2014 title, is now a Screen Burn member, as well as Observation, another game from the same team, formerly part of Creative Assembly. IGN also praised the gameplay built around the CRTV, a device that functions like the radios from earlier Silent Hill games. It acts as a kind of guide for protagonist Simon Ordell, offering clues about his surroundings and helping him solve puzzles, which reviewers have also received high receptions.
Meanwhile, One More Game shared more detailed info on Silent Hill: Townfall. The game reportedly has a duration of 10-14 hours depending on whether you choose action style or stealth. It will also feature five different endings in total—three main ones and two bonus endings. The three main endings can be unlocked on your first playthrough, while the two secret ones require a second run through New Game+ mode, which sounds like a good incentive for another walkthrough.
