One of several projects set for a 2026 release but still without a confirmed launch date is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a remake of the original 1998 game announced this June. Nintendo decided not to tack on any extra words to the title, and players recently noticed the remake has officially received a rating—which could hint at more official info coming soon.

According to the ESRB's official site, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has received an E10+ rating, confirming the game will feature scenes of violence and blood. This information has already been uploaded on Nintendo's website, leading fans to believe the studio might soon share official details, whether a release date or another trailer. However, there has been no official announcement from Nintendo at this point.

Earlier this month, there was also speculation that pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake would be available on August 4, which was revealed by a GameStop leak. Insider NateTheHate has denied this claim, stating, “Google is pulling the release date & pricing information for Beast of Reincarnation, which releases on August 4th, and the standard edition retails for $59.99.” The exact release date for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remains unknown for now.

As we know, Nintendo is also working on a film adaptation of the franchise, set to premiere next April. Filming has already wrapped, and the movie is now in post-production. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth plays Link, and Bo Bragason plays Princess Zelda, with Wes Ball—known for The Maze Runner and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes—serving as the director. Also, according to Nick Baker, the next mainline Zelda game might use a reality-and-dimension-switching concept similar to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
