Rockstar Games medgrundare Dan Houser hyllar Bully och kallar spelet "fantastiskt"
This October marks exactly 20 years since the release of Bully—one of the most underrated titles made by Rockstar Games, the developers behind the GTA series. In a nutshell, it’s essentially a Grand Theft Auto game, but set in a school setting, where, as well as completing missions, you’ll also have to attend lessons and even wear a school uniform—otherwise you’ll get told off by the teachers.
Many players and fans agree that Bully is truly a unique game, designed in Rockstar Games’ trademark style yet unlike any other project. The studio’s co-founder, Dan Houser, shares this view; in a recent interview with IGN, he explained what makes the game so special. According to Houser, Bully owes its uniqueness to its traditional gameplay, combined with a memorable soundtrack, attractive visuals, and charismatic characters—all set against an unusual setting.

It’s no secret that Bully 2 was in development for quite some time, and concept art for the game regularly appeared around the web. However, as Dan Houser stated in an early interview, the game’s development didn’t come into the light, due to limited resources and, it seems, other priorities at Rockstar Games.
Rockstar Founder Dan Houser confirms why BULLY 2 never happened.
He blames it on "bandwidth issues".
Houser further adds "If you’ve got a small lead creative team and a small leadership crew you just can’t do all the projects you want.”
Nevertheless, all Bully fans may be in for a delightful surprise as soon as next month – on August 12th, Agefield High: Rock the School from Refugium Games is set to be released, serving as the spiritual successor to the 2006 game. In the game, you will play as a schoolboy named Sam who, along with his friends Kale and Axel, is trying to become one of the coolest kids at school and in the fictional town of Agefield. The game is set in the 2000s, and that era shows through in both the visual style and the soundtrack. Just like in Bully, in Agefield High: Rock the School you can attend lessons, explore the town, build relationships and take part in additional activities, as well as completing story missions.
