However, that could change next month.

The latest rumor on Reddit suggests PlayStation will hold another State of Play presentation next month, with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet headlining the event. A user going by the nickname GoldTouch99 cites an insider who previously confirmed the announcement of God of War: Laufey at the State of Play event in June. And while this isn’t a 100% guarantee, it aligns with Sony’s event schedule, so it’s probably worth waiting a bit to see if (or when) official confirmation comes.

I know nobody will believe me, but I got confirmation from my only source that Intergalactic will be the last game to show in the State of Play. Its the same source that told me GOW Laufey would close the June SoP. Im willing to keep this post till September so you can see I am not lying. Also I was told that they would show a gameplay trailer, like the one we got for Wolverine last year and the release window is second half of 2027.

Earlier this year, there were rumors that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet might be released next summer, just like several of Naughty Dog’s previous projects. And if that’s the case, the studio will need to show off new footage of the game soon to build anticipation—and in that regard, presenting the game at State of Play in September makes sense.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is an upcoming action-adventure PlayStation 5 exclusive, which is rumored to be twice as big as The Last of Us: Part 2 and feature RPG elements. The release date for Naughty Dog’s latest title remains unknown for now.
