Cyberpunk 2077-uppdatering 2.5: Hemligt tillagda föremål från The Witcher 3

Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5), released on October 22, was hiding one more surprise. Players discovered that CD Projekt RED quietly added several Witcher 3-themed items to the game without mentioning them in the official patch notes. X user Synth Potato was the first to share the find, and other players soon confirmed it.

In total, Cyberpunk 2077 got five new items, each referencing The Witcher 3:

• Sihil – an iconic sword named after the dwarven swords of the Witcher universe. The most famous Sihil belonged to Zoltan Chivay.
• The Professor’s Spectacles – the Professor’s glasses, which Geralt could win at the auction in the Hearts of Stone expansion.
• Ursine Jacket and Ursine Pants – a jacket and pants modeled on the School of the Bear armor.
• Boar Carver – a knife similar to the one Geralt used to collect trophies from slain monsters.

This isn’t Cyberpunk 2077’s first nod to The Witcher. The game already had the Wild Hunt jacket and Geralt’s sword, Gwynbleidd, but you could only get them by linking a CD Projekt RED account that owns The Witcher 3. This time, you can get the items through a quest right in the game.

To claim the new gear, follow a few simple steps:

1. After updating to version 2.5, V will get a message from a new character, Ariadne, who offers new clothes and wants V to become a brand ambassador. Accept her offer. If you choose “SEND TO SPAM,” the items won’t arrive.
2. Skip 24 hours using the “Skip Time” menu and wait for a message about a free package.
3. Head to V’s apartment in Megabuilding H10 in Little China, Watson.
4. Grab the items from the box to the left of the entrance.

On top of that, if you take a photo of V wearing the gear in Photo Mode and send it to Ariadne, you’ll get 4,300 eddies. You can claim the items even at the very start of a new playthrough. Keep in mind, though, that some players with mods enabled didn’t receive the gear, so it’s best to turn mods off before starting the quest.

As a reminder, Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 launched on October 22, timed to the Netflix premiere of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime. Its biggest anime-related addition is the Clampdown side quest, set before the events of the new season, along with a gear set inspired by King and a radio station with tracks from the show. The game also got dual-wielding: the new Double Trouble perk lets you fire two pistols or revolvers at once. Players can now change the look of their arm cyberware at Glamdoc shops, and consoles got cross-platform mod support through mod.io and a field of view slider. The update also added the new Welcome to Paradise quest, 12 Tarot cards, new outfit sets, and DLSS 4.5 support.
