According to SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar+), writers Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin describe the anime as exploring a "period of trouble" in Geralt and Yennefer's relationship, while maintaining its alignment with the live-action chronology. The film will include a previously cut scene from Henry Cavill's first season, adding a "fun little" moment that enhances the narrative.

Anya Chalotra reprises her role as Yennefer, while Doug Cockle lends his voice to Geralt in the anime, teasing a deeper dive into their emotional connection. "Geralt cannot let Yennefer go," Ostrowski shared. "She haunts him. Even if he wanted to be rid of her, he can't."

Fans eagerly await the anime's debut, as the franchise continues to expand across multiple mediums, offering new perspectives on the Witcher universe and its characters.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is an upcoming adult animated fantasy drama film based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story "A Little Sacrifice" from Sword of Destiny. Directed by Kang Hei Chul, the film features Doug Cockle as Geralt of Rivia, with Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey reprising their roles as Yennefer and Jaskier, and Christina Wren joining as Essi Daven. Produced by Netflix in collaboration with Studio Mir, Platige Image, and Hivemind, it is the second animated feature in The Witcher universe following Nightmare of the Wolf. Originally announced in 2021, the film is set to release on February 11, 2025, bringing stunning animation and a faithful adaptation of Sapkowski’s world to fans.
