SkillSteal lämnar Orlando Pirates Exdee
SkillSteal has announced their departure from the Orlando Pirates Exdee. The 25-year-old South African cybersportsman announced this on his social networks.
So when the season is finally over, I had time to think, in fact, I came to this even long before the RLCS 2021-22 - World Championship. What will be next?
Snowyy and Darth are already exploring options for pursuing a career. I want to make it clear that there was no malice behind their decision and I fully support their decision to do so. They were just incredible teammates and the season with them was definitely one to remember for a long time and provided me with two great opportunities: to go to the very first Worlds in Dallas and to visit Gamers8 in Saudi Arabia. The whole team has become more than just the players I played with in RL.
I would like to thank them for hosting me all these months. I would also like to thank the Pirates and Exdee for all the support throughout the season and the opportunity they gave us, the bootcamps and all, was just incredible. I will never be able to thank them for this.
Anyway, I've been thinking about retiring... but I feel like I can still stay at TIER-1, so as long as I can do that, I'll stay. I mean, everyone who knows me knows that I basically never stopped playing, even when there was nothing to play for, so why stop now?
SkillSteal has been playing for the Orlando Pirates Exdee since October last year. Together with the team, the 25-year-old South African became the winner of RLCS 2021-22 - Fall: SSA Regional Event 3, RLCS 2021-22 - Winter: SSA Regional Event 2 and RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: SSA Regional Event 1, among others, and also took part in the recent Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - World Championship (20-22nd place).
Considering the eSportsman's farewell letter, Snowyy and Darth will follow in his footsteps, who will also leave the Orlando Pirates Exdee team.
From now on, the Orlando Pirates Exdee Rocket League roster is as follows:
- Snowyy
- Darth
- cpZebra (coach)
