On 23 July, Electronic Arts officially unveiled EA Sports FC 27 —the latest installment in its popular football simulator franchise. The studio released a debut trailer featuring the first shots of gameplay and confirmed the presence of an open-world mode titled The Grounds, which had long been the subject of rumors.

But as well as The Grounds, EA also briefly touched on other new features that fans can look forward to in almost every aspect of EA Sports FC 27, including the much-loved Career Mode. FGZNews has shared some new details about what players can expect in the updated Career Mode. According to the source, Electronic Arts has completely overhauled the in-game transfer market—making it faster, smarter, and more dynamic—partly thanks to the involvement of TransferRoom in the development of EA Sports FC 27. TransferRoom is a digital B2B platform that directly facilitates communication between clubs without intermediaries. It is also reported that aspects such as a player’s value—which will depend on their form and potential, as well as new negotiation tactics and much more—are being refined. On its X social media page, FGZNews also reported that Electronic Arts’ main focus for EA Sports FC 27 is gameplay, and, according to John Shepherd, Vice President of EA Sports FC, “FC 27 is designed to deepen players’ connection to football and to one another”.

As well as revealing the first details of EA Sports FC 27, the studio has also unveiled the Hall of FUT Player Picks for the FC 27 Ultimate+ Edition. The game is confirmed to release on September 25, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and Switch 2.
