Take-Two bryr sig inte om GTA 6 Trailer 2 – Fans som tappar sinnen
If there’s one thing Rockstar is a master of, it’s keeping fans on edge. Since the first GTA 6 trailer dropped in December 2023, the hype has been through the roof. The problem? We haven’t heard a single peep about a second trailer or an official release date. And according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, that silence is very much intentional.
In a recent interview, Zelnick explained Rockstar’s unique marketing approach, which essentially boils down to: “We don’t need to do anything, and the hype will take care of itself.” He emphasized that they deliberately don’t plan their trailers around big gaming events or release schedules like other companies. Instead, they drop marketing material when they feel like it, closer to launch, to keep anticipation at its peak.
Zelnick said:
“The anticipation for that title may be the greatest I’ve ever seen for an entertainment property. We want to maintain the anticipation and excitement... We found that the better thing to do is provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window to create that excitement on the one hand and balance that excitement with unmet anticipation.”

Translation? They know they’re holding all the cards. They don’t need to hype the game months (or years) in advance because, let’s be honest, GTA 6 could drop tomorrow with zero warning and still break every sales record in existence.
The Internet's GTA 6 Trailer 2 Theories Are Getting Wild

While Rockstar plays the waiting game, the GTA community has been busy cooking up some truly insane theories. Here are some of the biggest ones floating around:
- April 2025 Release? Many fans believe Rockstar is aiming for an April 2025 launch and that the second trailer will drop sometime this summer. Some are even convinced Rockstar is waiting for a major event like Summer Game Fest, despite their usual independent approach.
- A Sudden Shadow Drop? Some fans think Rockstar might just drop the second trailer with no warning—one day, it’s just there, and the internet explodes. Given how they handled the first trailer, this wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
- Hints in GTA Online? Players have been scouring GTA Online for potential clues, with some believing that Rockstar is sneakily dropping easter eggs in recent updates. There’s no solid proof yet, but that hasn’t stopped Reddit from going full conspiracy mode.
- Trailer 2 Will Reveal a Third Playable Character? So far, we only know about Lucia and an unnamed male protagonist (presumably Jason), but some fans are convinced there’s a third character we haven’t seen yet. A leak from last year suggested the game might have three protagonists again, similar to GTA 5, and many think Trailer 2 will confirm it.

While the “radio silence until close to launch” strategy makes sense from a marketing perspective, it’s starting to drive some fans crazy. GTA 5’s second trailer came out about five months after its first—meaning we should have had GTA 6’s Trailer 2 by now if Rockstar followed the same pattern. But here we are, months later, with nothing but speculation and memes.

Of course, Rockstar can do whatever they want. GTA 6 is arguably the most anticipated game of all time, and there’s no real risk of the hype fading. That said, dropping a new trailer wouldn’t “kill the anticipation” like Zelnick suggests—it would only fuel the fire even more.
For now, all fans can do is wait, theorize, and refresh Rockstar’s Twitter every few hours. One thing’s for sure: whenever that second trailer finally drops, it’s going to break the internet.
