Sommarens spelfestival 2026 får sina första officiella detaljer

The Game Awards is not the only gaming event show established by Geoff Keighley. Back in 2020, the very first Summer Game Fest took place from May to August as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of the big gaming events like E3 and Gamescom.

This year’s Summer Game Fest is officially scheduled for June 5-8, and the first details of the upcoming show have been revealed. According to VGC, the live kickoff show of Summer Game Fest will begin at 2 PM PT (5 PM ET, 10 PM GMT), and what’s more important and exciting—it will feature “world premieres, new video game announcements, exclusive gameplay, and more.” Geoff Keighley is also confirmed to be appearing at the panel.

Moreover, Summer Game Fest 2026 will mark the return of B2B event called The Game Business Live, where, as mentioned, “top industry voices will share insightful discussions on key changes, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global video game industry.” Summer Game Fest will be streamed live, and fans will be able to buy tickets and attend the show in Los Angeles. The tickets will be available to buy this spring.

As we remember, at last year’s Summer Game Fest, Capcom officially announced Resident Evil Requiem, which releases in a few days. Also, titles like Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, Scott Pilgrim EX, and Mortal Shell 2 were unveiled for the first time as well, so we might expect some big video game reveals for this summer.
