In just a couple of days, without exaggeration, one of the biggest games of 2026 will be released - LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, developed by TT Games. But it seems that the developers were assisted by people who are well acquainted with how to make quality Batman games.

As spotted and revealed by VGC, the credits of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight list about 20 developers from Rocksteady studio - a studio known for, perhaps, the best games about the Dark Knight, such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. It is indicated that one of the studio's producers, a designer, also helped to make the game, as well as several senior programmers and artists. Moreover, TT Games also responded to some developers of Warner Bros. Games Montreal, the studio responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins and Gotham Knights, as mentioned in the credits.

Speaking of Rocksteady Studios, recent rumors suggested they are working on a new Batman video game – the adaptation of Batman Beyond animated show. Unfortunately, a notable gaming journalist Jason Schreier recently denied this rumor and called it “fake”.

As for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the game received high ratings from the gaming press. The new TT Games project was called one of the best LEGO games, praised for its story, combat system, and humor.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will feature the biggest version of Gotham City, even bigger than in 2015’s Batman: Arkham Knight, and include 7 playable characters (Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, and Talia al Ghul), all with unique skills, abilities, and gadgets. We will also see a lot of DC lore from comics, TV shows, and films and fight some of the greatest Batman villains—Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and more. Insider Gaming recently shared that the game's main story duration is approximately 15 hours, but to complete LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight at 100%, you will need about 50 hours, which is pretty challenging.

The game officially releases on May 22 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The release date for Nintendo Switch 2 currently remains unknown.
