Forza Horizon 6 lanserat på Steam: 270 000 spelare på topp och det bästa Xbox Game Studios-projektet

On May 19, the latest title from Playground Games, Forza Horizon 6, finally became available for all players, after Premium users were able to try the game a few days earlier. Despite the early mixed reviews, it seems that the game is doing fine now if you look at the player statistics and reviews on Steam.

According to SteamDB, Forza Horizon 6 has become not only the most successful game in the series, in terms of player engagement, but also the best Xbox Game Studios project in same way. At the moment, the peak number of players in the game is 273,148, which is three times higher than its predecessors, Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5. Nevertheless, the game lags behind in terms of reviews, although they are still positive - Forza Horizon has almost an 80% rating on Steam. For comparison, the fourth installment has a rating of 89%, and the fifth one is one percent lower.

The game's success is even more impressive against the backdrop of the fact that the number of concurrent players in Forza Horizon 6 surpassed Halo Infinite—especially considering that the Halo brand is more popular and the game is distributed on a free-to-play model. Additionally, the game has outperformed other projects, such as Halo: The Master Chief Edition, Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition, Sea of Thieves: 2026 Edition, and the aforementioned Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5.

Game critics also gave Forza Horizon 6 the highest scores, and Metacritic awarded the game the 'Must-Play' award; by the way, the game is also the highest-rated title of 2026 at the moment. As already mentioned above, players who received early access to Forza Horizon 6 on Steam thanks to Premium expressed mixed opinions - primarily due to technical issues. But now, with the full version of the game available to everyone, it seems this problem has been fixed.

Forza Horizon 6 takes players to Japan, where Tokyo will be the biggest city in Forza Horizon’s history. The game will include more than 550 vehicles at the start, customization, new racing modes, dynamic changes in weather conditions, the ability to buy houses and decorate garages, and more.

The game is now available on PC and Xbox Series X/S. The version for PlayStation 5 will be available later in 2026.
