Insider avslöjar när Insomniac Games kan komma att släppa Marvel's Venom och Marvel's Spider-Man 3

Insomniac Games will release their next project this autumn—Marvel's Wolverine. The new game details will be officially revealed on June 2 on PlayStation’s State of Play show, but the studio is also working on other projects.

Besides Marvel’s Wolverine, the developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man game series are reportedly working on Marvel’s Venom spin-off and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, though both titles are not confirmed yet. Last month, we heard rumors that Marvel’s Venom might be cancelled due to the death of character’s voice actor, Tony Todd, but later it was debunked by multiple sources. In the recent post, PlayStation insider TCMFGames confirmed the game is still in development and could be released in 2027. He also reveals more details about the project, including which characters are expected to appear, as you can check out below:

• The game in the works & could launch in 2027 according to reports.
• Eddie Brock is said to be the protagonist and will look closer to his comic version.
• A monstrous version of Anti-Venom (not the Peter Parker variant) may also appear.
• Carnage (Cletus Kasady) is rumored to be a major villain in the game potentially continuing the story from Spider Man 2.

As for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, an insider shared that the game is likely to be released somewhere in 2028-2029, as it could also potentially be released not for PlayStation 5, but PlayStation 6 too.

• The game is looking set to launch in 2028/2029.
• Assumptions are that this would launch on both PS5 and PS6.
• Depending on the launch time this could also be a PS6 only title like Spider-Man 2 was for PS5.
• Sony has pretty much stated support for PS5 up until 2030 at minimum.

For now, none of these have been confirmed by Sony or Insomniac Games, so they should be considered with a grain of salt. However, the latest reports from TCMFGames turned out to be true, and after the release of Marvel’s Wolverine, we will probably find out more official information about future projects.

Marvel’s Wolverine will release on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
