Elden Ring-filmen Stormveil-scener syns i TikTok-klipp från Conwy Castle
A TikTok clip filmed outside Conwy Castle in North Wales shows extras dressed as soldiers patrolling the walls and towers of the Elden Ring movie set. The new video, posted by user mightbeliber, follows an April report from the North Wales Pioneer confirming Alex Garland's adaptation would shoot at the castle. The footage gives no view of named cast members or how long the crew is staying on site.
The soldiers in the footage look like standard human guards rather than the corrupted enemies that populate the Lands Between after the Shattering. That points to a pre-Shattering shoot, and it matches the previous leak from April. Set photos shared by Shortlist that month showed Marika with both braids intact, a Hornsent figure, a "Leyndell Streets" sign, and a props box labelled "Stormveil". Each element placed the filmed scenes before the cataclysm that drives the game's plot.
Conwy Castle standing in for Stormveil Castle is the obvious reading. Stormveil is the Legacy Dungeon controlled by Godrick the Grafted at the start of the game, and a pre-Shattering shoot would place the location under its original rulers, before Godrick took the throne and the moniker. Garland has not confirmed the location identity or how much of Conwy will remain in the final cut. With a budget reportedly well over $100 million and around 100 days of principal photography, A24 has the room to extend the castle with CG backgrounds and visual effects in post-production. The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported those figures, called the project A24's largest and most ambitious to date, ahead of Civil War and Marty Supreme on budget.

I think pulling Stormveil into the pre-Shattering window is the most interesting structural choice yet, because it forces the film to commit to a version of Godrick before the grafting and a castle that still functions as a fortress rather than a corrupted ruin.
The April leaks already pointed to lore the base game keeps inside item descriptions and cutscenes. The "Leyndell Streets" sign and the helmeted Leyndell Knight armour visible in those photos refer to the Royal City, where the Night of the Black Knives took place. That event predates the events of Elden Ring and sets the Shattering in motion. Another shot showed a set of gallows with a beam matching the hanging in the game's opening cinematic, where the Loathsome Dung Eater appears. A separate report has since indicated the Dung Eater character is in the film.
The Hornsent, a polytheistic faction with horns on their heads, do not appear in the base game but surfaced in the same batch of photos. Their inclusion points to material drawn from Shadow of the Erdtree or earlier in the timeline. The film is staging events the game only references in passing.
The cast announced in April includes Cailee Spaeny in the lead, with Nick Offerman, Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw and Peter Serafinowicz among the ensemble. Specific roles have not been confirmed. Spaeny most recently appeared in Alien: Romulus and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The film opens in US IMAX theatres on 3 March 2028, and a marketing campaign is unlikely before 2027.
FromSoftware's other 2026 plans run alongside it. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods are both listed for a 2026 Switch 2 release in Kadokawa's most recent financial report. Tarnished Edition was originally scheduled for late 2025, then pushed into 2026 for performance work after reports that the game ran poorly on Nintendo's hardware. FromSoftware apologised at the time of the delay. The Switch 2 build bundles the base game with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and adds two new classes. The Duskbloods, an eight-player Switch 2 exclusive announced last April, still has no gameplay footage beyond the reveal trailer that featured jetpacks, dinosaurs and creepy moons.
I know that set leaks rarely tell the full story of a film this far from release, but the Conwy footage and the April photos sit on the same lore timeline rather than contradicting each other.
Read also, Kadokawa has reaffirmed The Duskbloods and Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will both land on Switch 2 by the end of 2026, with FromSoftware still silent on Duskbloods gameplay since the reveal trailer.
