EA Sports UFC får sina första recensioner – kritikerna är positiva till det senaste avsnittet av Electronic Arts

At the end of April this year, Electronic Arts announced a new installment in the franchise dedicated to the popular combat sport UFC, marking the sixth entry in the game series and titled EA Sports UFC 6. The debut trailer was released in early May, and ahead of the game's imminent launch, the project received its first reviews, which, notably, were quite positive.

Among the main positive highlights is the revamped combat system, which makes the fights even more exciting and realistic. The improved physics, animations, and career mode, as well as the Flow State system and Hall of Legends, also receive special praise. However, critics note that there are no revolutionary changes compared to EA Sports UFC 5, released in 2023, and some aspects have remained completely unchanged or unrefined. Currently, EA Sports UFC 26 holds a score of 83 on MetaCritic, based on 5 critic reviews; on OpenCritic, it has an 82 average from top critics and a 92% recommendation rate from reviewers. GameSpew – 90/100:

With new modes and features aiming to better onboard players, as well as an improved Career mode and upgrades to the core combat experience, EA Sports UFC 6 is the most entertaining and authentic representation of the sport yet. The new museum-like Hall of Legends is a great addition, too.

PlayStation Universe – 85/100:

UFC 6 definitely feels like championship material, though it's a few notches below an all-time great.

KonsoliFIN – 80/100:

After three year development work, one could expect even greater strides forward, but EA Sports UFC 6 still leaves a good aftertaste for fans of the sport and also for those who generally like high-quality fighting games.

COGconnected – 80/100:

UFC 6 is still the best game this franchise has delivered in a long time. The visuals are incredible. The physics engine brings wild unpredictability that’s both gruesome and hilarious. And the soundtrack alone elevates the experience above the rest. The career mode is a missed opportunity and the customization tools need serious attention — but as a complete package, UFC 6 lands more than it misses. Sometimes a clear step forward is exactly what a franchise needs.

GamingBolt – 80/100:

EA Sports UFC 6 does many things right, delivering what you’d expect from it. But as a title meant to advance the franchise, it stumbles too often to truly stand out.
