San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is in full swing, and Insomniac Games, as one of the event’s participants, has decided to mark the occasion by unveiling a new trailer for its upcoming project —Marvel's Wolverine—which this time focuses on the game’s story.

As revealed in the new trailer, which lasts almost 2 minutes, Logan had a very close relationship with Jean Grey, but even with her telepathic abilities, she is not entirely able to understand him. The trailer also confirms the presence of numerous characters from the comics in Marvel’s Wolverine, including Bolivar Trask and Trask Industries, as well as the groups The Reavers and The Hand. Incidentally, Lady Deathstroke will be the leader of The Hand in the game. You can check out the new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine below:

During Insomniac Games’ ongoing presentation at Comic-Con, the game director of Marvel’s Wolverine shared some details about the upcoming title. Specifically, he once again confirmed that the game is set in the same universe as the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, although the X-Men do not yet exist in this world, and Logan himself has lost his memory, which is likely to influence many aspects of the story, as you can check out his speech below:

Recently, Insomniac Games has also released a comic book prequel to Marvel's Wolverine, in which Logan, Mystique, Sabretooth, and Sunfire break into Bolivar Trask’s warehouse in search of a secret weapon. The comic is now available to read in digital format. It was written by the studio’s narrative director, Walt Williams.

Marvel’s Wolverine is the upcoming action-adventure title from Insomniac Games releasing on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
