Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced-försäljningen nådde 3,5 miljoner exemplar på två veckor – vilket överträffar de årliga förväntningarna.
Just over two weeks ago, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced—a remake of the original 2013 game—which turned out to be a massive success for the gaming studio. In the latest financial report, it’s been revealed that the project has done so well that its performance has already outpaced the publisher's internal forecasts for the entire year.
Ubisoft released a document detailing the company's Q1 financial results, stating that "net revenue stood at $256 million," a figure 9% lower than last year but higher than expected. Black Flag Resynced, released at the start of Q2, performed exceptionally well—3.5 million copies sold across all platforms in its first 14 days, already exceeding Ubisoft's expectations for the entire year. You can check out the statement from co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot below:
“The strong launch of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in early July by Vantage Studios is an encouraging proof point. The game is the highest-rated Assassin's Creed title since the original Black Flag, and we are very pleased with the praise it received from players. Two weeks in, the title has already exceeded the annual expectations we had. I would like to warmly thank the teams whose talent and dedication brought it to life. This launch illustrates the enduring appeal of the Assassin’s Creed brand, as well as the early benefits of our ongoing transformation and commitment to delivering very high-quality experiences.”
The game's financial success could push Ubisoft toward a story DLC, digging even deeper into protagonist Edward Kenway's story, as game director Richard Knight teased in the latest interview. It might also mean the studio starts work on remakes of other older franchise entries sooner rather than later—something already reported—as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has proven itself a hit. Knight also claimed he hopes GTA 6's November release won't make players forget about the game —and revealed Ubisoft may support the remake about a year.
And it's worth remembering Black Flag Resynced already includes a teaser for Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe —the next mainline entry in the series, announced back in 2022. There is also a rumor Ubisoft will finally reveal Codename Hexe at Gamescom 2026, sharing more about what to expect, given that development apparently hasn’t been smooth. Still, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced's success proves the studio can still put out great Assassin's Creed games when it wants to.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, the highest-rated entry in the franchise over the past 13 years, is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
