Foretales har blivit det senaste gratisspelet på Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free giveaway. This time around, there's only one game you can take, though there are usually two. Still, Foretales, from Alkemi gaming studio, is free to add to your EGS library until July 30 inclusive.

Released in 2022, Foretales is a card-based role-playing game where players have to save a world on the brink of destruction due to an ancient prophecy. You take control of a small-time thief named Volepain, exploring various locations and completing quests through card-based gameplay. The story is entirely non-linear, so every choice you make will have consequences. You will also need to keep an eye on the balance of power within Volepain's squad, making good use of his companions' abilities.

It's also been announced that, starting July 30, the Epic Games Store will offer free copies of OTXO and Sol Cesto. Developed by Lateralis Heavy Industries and released in 2023, OTXO follows a hero searching for his girlfriend through a surreal world. It’s a fast top-down shooter in the vein of Hotline Miami, with roguelite elements mixed in. Beyond weapons, OTXO also lets players slow down time.

Sol Cesto, developed by both Goblinz Publishing and Maple Whispering Limited was released last year; it’s a tactical roguelite with turn-based dungeon-crawling elements, following heroes searching for the missing Sun. Levels are made up of 4x4 tile grids, where players can find items and run into enemies. The game also features seven unique heroes, each with their own set of abilities.

Foretales, the latest free game on the Epic Games Store, is available to take until July 30, 6:00 PM.
