The Grand Theft Auto series has always leaned into violence, if that's even the right word for it. The upcoming sixth installment looks set to follow that same path and might even push things further.

News of a possible GTA 6 rating has been circulating on social media. As revealed by iGrandTheftAuto, the game is rated X 18+ in Australia, based on a recent ad of the Ultimate Edition related to the game’s PlayStation 5 version. By comparison, GTA V carried the less severe R 18+ rating, which has fueled speculation the sixth game isn't just more violent but might also include sexual content, possibly involving protagonists Jason and Lucia.

Interestingly, YouTuber MikeShowSha, who's had early access to the game, previously mentioned a possible sexual relationship between Jason and Lucia, though it's unclear whether that's an actual gameplay mechanic or just something shown through cutscenes. However, Rockstar Games officially hasn’t revealed the rating of Grand Theft Auto VI yet.

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
