Fans har märkt att alla GTA 6-trailers i hemlighet börjar med ett meddelande till spelarna

There’s less than a month left until one of the biggest—if not the biggest—events of the year: the launch of GTA 6. During that time, Rockstar has released four official videos about the game, the latest of which—the launch trailer—came out last week. As has been noted on social media, each of them shares an interesting pattern.

Specifically, as user GTAVI_Countdown pointed out, every game trailer, in one way or another, plays with fans’ expectations or contains some kind of reference. For example, the debut trailer for GTA 6 references the very first GTA 5 trailer, and in the second one, Jason says he’s “fixing some leaks”—an obvious nod to the 2022 game leak. Then, “An Extended Look” seems to be poking fun at fans who have grown so tired of the lack of news about GTA 6 that some have even been measuring oxygen levels near Rockstar’s office. Finally, the launch trailer shows Jason literally polishing something: this is a hint from the developers they’re doing the same with the game.

Every GTA 6 trailer begins with a reference or a nod to the community:

• Trailer 1: A reference to Michael’s first line in GTAV’s reveal trailer: “Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather”
• Trailer 2: A nod to the 2022 leaks and how they shadow-dropped this trailer after the last one got leaked.
• Extended Look: A nod to fans going insane over the lack of news, to the point where someone was measuring oxygen levels outside their headquarters.
• Launch Trailer: A nod to Rockstar polishing the game and adding the final touches, with launch just a month away.

Speaking of the latest trailer and its “polish,” experts at Digital Foundry analyzed the trailer and concluded GTA 6 is indeed “supremely polished,” and it's quite possible the trailer shows what the game will look like at launch—unless, of course, the developers make it look even better. New details about the game, meanwhile, continue to emerge: fans recently discovered GTA 6 will feature its own version of OnlyFans called Peekhole.
