Overwatch 2 Stadium-uppdatering släpps inför säsong 19
Blizzard has released a new Stadium update for Overwatch 2, bringing hero balance changes to Freja, Tracer, and Brigitte, alongside Ranked Stadium progression tweaks and a batch of bug fixes. This patch, which went live on October 1, 2025, is expected to be the last major update before Season 19 begins on October 14.
⚔️ Hero Balance Adjustments
Freja (Buffed)
Freja has struggled with the lowest win rate in Stadium, so Blizzard has boosted several of her Powers to make her more competitive without increasing her one-shot potential.
- Lille Fælde: Effectiveness raised (30% reduced, up from 40%).
- Seismic Shot: Explosion radius increased to 50% (up from 33%).
- Forager: Heal per shot increased to 5% (up from 4%).
- Deep Pockets: Ammo restore on ability use increased to 40% (up from 25%).
- Volley à Deux: Additional bolt damage improved (50% reduced, up from 66%).
Tracer (Mixed Buffs & Nerfs)
Tracer’s high performance in Stadium prompted Blizzard to dial back survivability while enhancing some build paths.
- Chronal Crux (Passive): Gains 35% less Health/Armor/Shields from items (previously 25%).
- Alternate Ending: Healing raised to 100% of damage taken (up from 75%).
- Blink of an Eye: Cooldown reduction slightly nerfed (0.04s, down from 0.05s).
- Foresight: Auto-aim reduced to 4 shots (down from 6).
- Temportal: Portal duration extended to 8s (up from 6s).
- Chrono Bomb (Epic Item): Ability Power buffed to 20% (up from 15%); cost increased to 10,500.
Brigitte (Nerfed)
Brigitte’s Shield Boomerang (Sköldkastning) was overperforming due to midseason changes, so its damage has been toned down.
- Shield Boomerang: Damage reduced to 40% of Shield Bash (down from 60%).
🏆 Ranked Stadium Progression Changes
Blizzard has reworked Stadium Points (SP) to make competitive progression smoother and more rewarding:
- Adjusted distribution curve → reaching Elite rank is now easier.
- Reworked SP gain/loss ranges → better balance for wins/losses.
- Round wins in best-of-seven now reduce point loss more significantly.
- Fixed issue where players near their predicted rank gained unusually low SP.
Developer comment: The system was making it harder for players to reach their expected rank, so these changes aim to create a more consistent climb heading into Season 19.
🔧 Bug Fixes
Heroes
- Mercy: Fixed Ultimate animation/voice line in Overwatch Classic.
- Wuyang: Ultimate now correctly targets intended enemies.
- Moira: Fixed Optimal Overflow spawning orbs without reduced duration.
- Pharah: Fixed Triple Volley rockets dealing excessive damage.
- Reinhardt: Fixed Shield Stampede camera lock during Charge.
- Soldier: 76: Fixed Peripheral Pulse dealing full damage to extra targets.
Maps
- Aatlis: Staircase issue resolved; map re-enabled.
Items
- Codebreaker (Epic Weapon Item): Cost increased to 10,000 (up from 9,000).
📅 Looking Ahead to Season 19
With Season 19 just around the corner on October 14, players can expect:
- New maps like Atlantic Arcology and Tokyo
- Stadium heroes including Sojourn and Torbjörn
- Fresh mechanics like consumables, active items, and Trials
While a hotfix may land before launch, this Stadium update serves as the final major tune-up before Overwatch 2’s next season kicks off.
🔥 Bottom line: Freja finally gets the help she needs, Tracer is reined in, Brigitte takes a damage hit, and Ranked feels fairer — all just in time for the big content drop of Season 19.
