Infinity Ward teasar om tillkännagivandet av nytt Call of Duty-spel

Rumors have been circulating for quite some time that the next installment in Call of Duty game series will be Modern Warfare IV, developed by Infinity Ward. And while there has still been no official confirmation, the studio may have teased in a recent post that an announcement for the game is planned for the very near future.

On the developers' official X account, the studio's head, Mark Grigsby, and Jack O'Hara addressed all fans, stating that their next project would mark a “new chapter” for the studio itself and promising that the game would be polished down to the last detail. Although the developers have not confirmed that the next project is titled Modern Warfare IV, rumors have previously circulated online suggesting that this is indeed the case. In addition, it has also been reported that the story campaign of Modern Warfare IV will be available via early access, like its predecessor, Modern Warfare 3, as focus and support for DMZ mode and release date set for October. According to the latest rumor, Phillip Graves and The Shadow Company will also return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IV.

As for when the game might be officially confirmed, we have several major gaming events coming up—State of Play (June 2), Summer Game Fest (June 5–8), and the Xbox Games Showcase (June 7)—so it’s almost certain that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IV will be announced at one of these events, unless Activision decides to do so earlier.

We also know that Peter Berg (Hancock, Battleship, and Mile 22) will be the director of Call of Duty movie adaptation, set to premiere on June 30, 2028.
