Oblivion Remastered Physical Deluxe Edition släpps 13 oktober för 40 dollar

Bethesda and Xbox have announced that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered will finally be available in physical form. A deluxe edition priced at $40 is set to arrive on October 13, 2025, for both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

The remaster originally launched in April as a digital-only release across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Developed by Virtuos under the supervision of Bethesda Game Studios, Oblivion Remastered reintroduces the 2006 RPG with updated visuals built in Unreal Engine 5 while retaining the original gameplay structure. The digital release has already reached more than 9 million players and was the second best-selling game of the year in the U.S. as of July, according to Circana.

The upcoming deluxe edition includes several extras. Buyers will receive a digital soundtrack, an artbook, and bonus in-game armor and weapons alongside the core game. Preorders are live on Amazon for both platforms, but buyers should note that a console with a disc drive is required.

The announcement was made through Bethesda Game Studios’ official Bluesky account, which presented the physical edition in the style of an Oblivion inventory screen. The move caters to players who still prefer to collect physical discs, even as more major titles release exclusively through digital storefronts.

While many fans welcomed the news, some expressed caution over whether the disc will actually contain the full game. Physical launches in recent years have increasingly shipped with only partial game data, serving more as license verifications than complete retail products. Given the timing months after digital release, players hope Oblivion Remastered’s physical edition offers a comprehensive version.

The decision to price the physical deluxe edition at $40 also stands out. The original deluxe digital edition launched at $60 back in April, meaning this release is significantly cheaper while also including the additional items. The pricing could attract players who waited to purchase or those who value the permanence of physical collections.

Bethesda has not confirmed whether the physical edition will include all available updates on disc or if players will need to download patches after installation. With most modern titles undergoing ongoing support and improvements post-launch, a disc can only contain a snapshot of the game’s state at a certain point in development. Even so, a proper disc release would be an advantage for players who want to preserve the game in a playable format without relying on online servers.

Oblivion Remastered remains available digitally on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. As a first-party Xbox release, it is also included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. For those who prefer shelves filled with boxed copies, the wait for a disc version is almost over, with the October 13 deluxe edition offering a lower price point and added extras.
