Nytt Dead Rising-spel kan vara under utveckling

Just recently we saw a frustrating information from former Dead Rising developer, Marie Mejerwall. She revealed that Capcom were working on Dead Rising 5; the game should have had really well-developed boss fights and Unreal Engine 5 was the game engine. It's interesting to see that we have a new report regarding Dead Rising's franchise future - and it's a much more pleasant news.

According to MP1st portal, new Dead Rising entry is in active development since 2023; the game is currently have codename Rec and Frank West, protagonist of original Dead Rising, will be the main character once again. It seems like it will be a direct sequel to the 2006' Dead Rising and also the game will be set in Hollywood. Source also shares some information about the game's villain. It is said that "main villain will be an extravagant and deranged film director who forces Frank and other survivors into various trials, all in the pursuit of filming his so called 'perfect movie'"

Although it all could sound really impressive let's not forget Capcom never confirmed they're working on a new Dead Rising game, at least, for now. Therefore, consider this information with a grain of salt.
