Riot Games and Epic Games have officially confirmed that Fortnite’s popular Arcane skins will return to the Item Shop on November 29, marking the first time they’ve been available in 1,393 days. The announcement arrives just ahead of Fortnite’s major Zero Hour live event, which will reintroduce a wide range of collaborations as Chapter 6 comes to an end.

Many players are eagerly waiting for the Zero Hour event, set to begin at 2 PM ET on November 29, but there is just as much excitement surrounding what Chapter 7 might bring. Epic Games has already revealed that the next chapter will feature a major crossover with Kill Bill. Along with new themed skins, Epic has partnered with Quentin Tarantino to adapt an unfilmed segment of the movie’s original script into a short experience within Fortnite. While Epic has explored cross-media collaborations before—such as the Simpsons mini-season featuring interactions between Hope, Jonesy, and the show’s iconic characters—the Kill Bill project stands out as something entirely new.

Arcane Skins Return November 29

Riot Games confirmed via Twitter that Fortnite’s Arcane skins will return to the Item Shop on November 29. Their absence for nearly four years has made them some of the rarest cosmetics in the game. Speculation about their comeback intensified when leakers discovered that Imagine Dragons' Enemy, prominently used in Netflix’s Arcane, would be added to Fortnite. While some dismissed this as coincidence, the song’s inclusion turned out to be a subtle hint at the skins’ return.

Although no new Arcane cosmetics appear to be planned, LEGO Fortnite announced that both Jinx and Vi will receive LEGO-style variants. Previously, each character’s skin was available for 1,500 V-Bucks, with bundles priced at 1,800 V-Bucks including back bling, a harvesting tool, and additional accessories. Players hoping to grab the returning items should act fast—there’s no guarantee when they will reappear after leaving the shop again.

Why Some Skins Disappear for Years

Long gaps between cosmetic rotations are not unusual. For example, the Pac-Man back bling has been gone for over 1,000 days, and Kratos from God of War hasn’t returned since 2021 despite frequent community requests. Collaboration items may be subject to unique licensing rules, something Riot co-founder Marc Merrill has hinted at. When Merrill learned that Fortnite players wanted Jinx and Vi to return, he contacted Epic to discuss the possibility—but at the time, the two companies couldn’t reach an agreement. The situation has clearly changed, but it has sparked curiosity about how complex these crossover negotiations can be.

Even Fortnite’s original cosmetics experience extended absences. The Reflex skin, for example, hasn’t appeared in the Item Shop since 2019. Epic rarely explains how its rotation system works or why certain skins return regularly while others vanish for years. Still, moments like the Arcane skins’ return show that Epic does pay attention to community feedback and occasionally brings back highly requested items.
