Konami provided the following breakdown of its top-selling series:

  • METAL GEAR series - July 1987 - 65.5 million
  • PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU series - March 1994 - 26.3 million
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! series - December 1998 - 32.5 million
  • Momotaro Dentetsu series - December 1988 - 19.9 million
  • SILENT HILL series - March 1999 - 14.0 million

Alongside the success of the Metal Gear franchise, Konami provided updated sales numbers for its other major series. The Pawafuru Puroyakyu series has reached 26.3 million sales, while the collected Yu-Gi-Oh! games have sold 32.5 million units. The Momotaro Dentetsu series has achieved 19.9 million in sales, and the Silent Hill franchise has passed the 14 million sales mark. The company also shared significant download numbers for its mobile and console titles. The eFootball game has accumulated over 950 million downloads since its first release in 1995. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has also seen substantial success, passing 150 million downloads since it launched in 2016. These figures underscore the company's strong position in both the traditional console market and the mobile gaming space. The financial data provided by Konami supports this positive outlook, showing a 16.3 percent increase in income from its digital entertainment sector compared to the previous year, with a total revenue increase of 13.6 percent.

The business update also offered insight into Konami's strategic focus and future direction. The company describes itself as "a leading company in esports," a claim supported by its heavy involvement with Yu-Gi-Oh!, eFootball, and Pawafuru Puroyakyu. Konami has a long history in the competitive gaming scene, having held World Championships for its eFootball series since 2001 and for the Yu-Gi-Oh! series since 2003. To further these efforts, the company operates the Konami Creative Center Ginza, a facility dedicated to expanding and stimulating the esports market. This center includes the KONAMI esports academy for training new talent, the esports GINZA studio for broadcasting events, and an esports-themed cafe.

Looking toward the future, Konami stated its intention to pursue innovation by incorporating new technologies. The company specified its plans to utilize artificial intelligence, 5G and 6G mobile communications, cloud technology, WEB3, NFTs, and VR/AR. This is not just a forward-looking statement, as Konami is already implementing advanced tech in its current titles. The eFootball series uses 3D full-body scans of players and high-precision scans of stadiums, powered by a proprietary game engine to recreate realistic player movements. Similarly, the PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS series uses 3D scanning to capture player likenesses from all angles and employs individual player AI based on seasonal statistics to enhance the game's authenticity. This commitment to technology is part of Konami's ongoing effort to create new and engaging user experiences across its diverse portfolio of games.
