Grand Theft Auto VI:s första läcka inträffade för nästan ett decennium sedan

Despite Grand Theft Auto VI’s release coming this November, Rockstar Games hasn’t shown much about the game yet, foremost, the gameplay of one of the most exciting video games ever.

However, the details of the upcoming title regularly leak online, and one of the recent leaks reveals much about GTA VI’s story, open world, missions, etc. Leaks is something very usual today, but in terms of GTA VI the very first leak actually happened almost a decade ago, long before the game was formally unveiled (December 2023).

As revealed by the social media X account GTAVI_Countdown, who is a specialist about everything related to the game, the first leak of Grand Theft Auto VI happened back in 2016; specifically, some anonymous developer shared the upcoming game will feature two main characters—male and female—and also revealed more details about GTA VI development, as you can check below:

“GTA 6’s first legit leak happened in 2016, when an anonymous dev accurately revealed that the game would feature a male and a female protagonist and said the following:

- Pre-production started in 2014;

- Asset creation started in 2016;

- There was a disagreement over the direction of the game;

- People had to fight to not make Online the central focus;

- Set in Florida and Cuba;

- The male protagonist smuggles drugs;

- The female protagonist is your contact in the states;

- Rockstar is aiming for a mature tone similar to RDR2;

Obviously, some stuff may have been cut or changed since then, but it was mostly accurate;”
