Insomniacs Spider-Man-spel kommer sannolikt inte att släppas till Xbox

Insomniac Games has been in the gaming industry since the late 1990s, when their first hit, Spyro the Dragon, was released back in 1998 on PlayStation. The studio has received a new wave of popularity a few years after, when they launched a Ratchet & Clark franchise in 2002. Later on, they also create a Resistance game series for PlayStation 3, but it seems like the real peak came almost a decade ago.

Back in 2018, the studio released Marvel’s Spider-Man video game for PlayStation 4, which quickly became one of the studio’s best projects, especially over the past few years, and one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusives as well. The game also received a spin-off, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the remastered version and its sequel, and now the developers are working to expand the universe with a new title—Marvel's Wolverine that is set to release this year on PlayStation 5.

It’s important to say that all of Marvel’s Spider-Man titles also were released on PC, but not on Xbox Series X/S. During Valentine’s Day, the studio posted a congratulatory message to the fans, and one of the X social media users has asked if there any possibility Marvel’s Spider-Man titles will be released on Xbox platforms. However, the developers have replied shortly—"not likely".

It’s definitely not the answer Xbox users expected, but let’s not forget back in 2017 Insomniac Games also revealed Marvel’s Spider-Man will not be released on PC, but it did happen.

Insomniac’s next title, Marvel’s Wolverine, will release this year on PlayStation 5. The release date is currently unknown.
