Rumors surrounding a potential new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continue to gain momentum, and fans now believe May 28 could finally bring an official update. While CD Projekt has yet to confirm anything related to new content for the iconic RPG, the community is closely watching the upcoming anniversary livestream dedicated to the Blood and Wine expansion.

Speculation about a possible 2026 DLC has been circulating for months, mainly fueled by Polish insiders and multiple industry leaks. According to these reports, the expansion could serve as a narrative bridge between The Witcher 3 and the upcoming The Witcher 4. Rumors suggest the DLC may introduce a brand-new region while focusing on Ciri’s evolving role in the franchise and the symbolic passing of the torch from Geralt.

Although CD Projekt has remained completely silent regarding the leaks, fans continue to hope the studio has something planned.

As we previously reported, CD Projekt Red has already been actively discussing the future of the franchise and revealing new details connected to the original Witcher universe. You can read more in our previous coverage here.

The main reason behind the renewed excitement is a newly announced “special anniversary stream” focused on The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. The broadcast is scheduled for May 28 at 5 PM CEST and will be available on YouTube and Twitch.

The stream will feature environmental artist Kacper Niepokolczycki alongside senior writer and story coordinator Magdalena Zych as they revisit the acclaimed expansion live on stream. Officially, the event is simply meant to celebrate the legacy of Blood and Wine, but many players believe the timing could hint at something more.

Naturally, the word “special” in the announcement immediately sparked theories across social media. Some fans are convinced the livestream may include a teaser or even a full reveal of the rumored DLC project.

Reactions online have already exploded with excitement. Many users on X/Twitter joked about “being baited again,” while others openly begged CD Projekt Red to finally confirm the long-discussed expansion. Memes, reaction images, and speculation threads quickly spread throughout the Witcher community after the stream announcement went live.

Still, it is important to remember that CD Projekt Red has not officially announced any new DLC for The Witcher 3. At this stage, all information remains based on rumors and insider claims. The anniversary stream could simply be a celebration of one of gaming’s most beloved RPG expansions — and for many fans, that alone would still be worth watching.

However, if a new DLC announcement does happen during the event, it would instantly become one of the biggest RPG reveals of the year. Even nearly a decade after release, The Witcher 3 continues to maintain legendary status among players worldwide, and the demand for new content clearly hasn’t disappeared.
