Ubisoft delade mer information om Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

On the eve of the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the original 2013 game, Ubisoft shared a lot of new details about the forthcoming game regarding new plot details, gameplay, modern setting, sea adventures, and many other things.

As is known, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will contain new content dedicated to Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, which was not in the original. According to the game's director, Richard Knight, players will have access to 8 new missions, designed for approximately 6 hours of gameplay. They will show how Edward Kenway fights the real-life pirate hunter Robert Miller and reveal more details about why Blackbeard's story in the game ends the way it does.

In addition, the developers shared more about the modern setting of the game, which was significantly revamped in Black Flag Resynced. Richard Knight confirmed that the studio came up with a 'fracture' system in the remake, which is not required to complete the story. According to the game director, this change was made because the original concept of the modern setting in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag implied a connection with Desmond Miles' friends after the finale of Assassin's Creed III.

Ubisoft also shared the official map of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. It was previously confirmed that its size will remain the same, but the land areas will be much more detailed.

As for the naval part of the gameplay in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, new interesting details were unveiled in latest Ubisoft's blog. In particular, when controlling the Jackdaw, Edward Kenway's pirate ship, players will now be able to set their own route, which will be displayed and highlighted on the water, and an autopilot function will also be available. In addition to the 35 pirate shanties, there will be 10 new ones that can be chosen at any moment. The developers also showed footage of dynamic weather changes and the main character traveling underwater—which can now be done at any time.

It is also worth noting that the gaming press has already gained access to an early version of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, after this became known due to a leak from IGN Australia about the lifting of the embargo. Overall, the game received positive reviews, with particular attention given to the redesigned parkour system, the improved and more spectacular combat system, enhanced stealth, and the absence of any loading during exploration of the open world. However, there were also some nuances: some animations still need refinement, as does the quality of the cutscenes. Additionally, fans compared the battle with animals in the game to a boss fight in Dark Souls, since the crocodile's health depletes extremely slowly.

Nevertheless, Ubisoft still has time to fix all the flaws, as there is about a month and a half until the release. You can also check out Main Differences Between Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
