Undoubtedly, the main feature of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is everything related to the maritime part of the game, where players take command of a real pirate ship and set off to explore the expanses of the Caribbean Sea. It is expected that all of this will become even better in the upcoming remake of the game, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, which was officially confirmed by Ubisoft last month.

We already know that the upcoming title will offer not only improved graphics, thanks to the new Anvil engine, but also a host of innovations concerning both the story mode and gameplay. For example, in Black Flag Resynced, new story arcs will appear for characters such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, and Edward Kenway's crew can be joined by three new heroes - Lucy Baldwin, The Padre, and Deadman Smith—with the backstory of each being revealed.

Recently, Ubisoft confirmed another new feature for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, related to one of the most favorite things of players in the original game—pirate shanties. As you can check out below, you can now choose your favorite pirate song during travels at sea on Edward Kenway's ship.

“Ubisoft officially shared NEW gameplay for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced featuring different sea shanties.

You now have the option to manually choose and play your favorite shanties.”

It is worth remembering that in the original there was no such possibility, and all pirate shanties were played in a random order. Now, however, players will be able to choose their favorite song at any moment in order to immerse themselves even more in the atmosphere of pirate adventures.

It is also being reported that this week we might see the first reviews of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, as the embargo lifts on May 21, which was revealed by IGN Australia. Besides Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft is also developing, at least, two new Assassin’s Creed titles:

• Codename Hexe—set in the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire, reportedly featuring new protagonist Anika, who is the descendant of Claudia Auditore, Ezio’s sister. By the way, an iconic Assassin’s Creed character is also set to appear in the game. The release date is rumored to be summer 2027.
• Codename Invictus—a multiplayer Assassin’s Creed title developed by the same team who worked on For Honor. Recently, the first image was leaked, as well as the details revealed by Tom Henderson that Invictus is a knockout-round-based title where familiar characters from the game series fight with each other in different areas from the games’ lore. The release date is still unknown.
