Rebel Wolves uppdaterade systemkraven för The Blood of Dawnwalker

At the end of April this year, Rebel Wolves studio held a special livestream dedicated to their debut RPG titled The Blood of Dawnwalker, which is set to be released this September. During the stream, the developers revealed new game details, showcased a story trailer, and shared the system requirements — which many felt were a bit on the high side. However, it seems the studio has since taken fans’ feedback into consideration.

On their social media, Rebel Wolves announced an update that lowers the system requirements for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Specifically, this affects the minimum and recommended specs needed to run the game at 30 and 60 FPS at 1080p resolution. Previously, the minimum CPU requirement was an Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, but now it's been reduced to an Intel i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. There’s also a notable improvement in GPU requirements: instead of needing an NVIDIA RTX 3050 or GTX 1070, the minimum configuration now only requires a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580.

As for the recommended settings, the requirements have changed to Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processors (down from Intel i5-13600 or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X), and graphics cards have been adjusted to an RTX 4060 or Radeon RX 7600 XT instead of an RTX 5060 or AMD RX 6800 XT, as you can check out below:

We’ll be sharing more detailed system requirements and presets, including medium and ultra, at a later date, after the final optimization processes.

As noted in the developers' post, they will release updated system requirements for other configurations after some time, and it's especially gratifying that they are listening to the players' feedback.

In The Blood of Dawnwalker, in the game you play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. The game is set in 14th-century Europe; however, the studio is also working on expanding the game series. Judging by a recently released trailer, if a sequel is made, its events will take place in the modern world. The game director of The Blood of Dawnwalker, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, recently admitted that, narratively, the game will resemble the classic Fallout titles. Additionally, the creative director, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, stated that the project draws inspiration from Baldur's Gate 3 and Gothic in terms of choice freedom and the richness of the game world.
