Even with less than four months to go before GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Rockstar Games hasn't shared any new info about the most anticipated video game of 2026 over the past month. Since pre-orders opened in June, there have been no further announcements regarding the game—rumors about the imminent release of a new trailer keep going nowhere.

That doesn't mean development of Grand Theft Auto VI is running into trouble—quite the opposite. Things are apparently in full swing to have everything ready by November 19. Meanwhile, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier released a new video on his YouTube channel, titled "Why Grand Theft Auto VI Is Scaring Off Other Games," where he confirmed the game won't be delayed again and that development is 90% complete—meaning most of the work is already done. Jason Schreier says GTA 6 is 90% with close to near certainty coming on November 19 without more delays after Rockstar opened up pre-orders:

“They’re pretty confident this release is actually happening, unlike previous release dates, this one feels real.”

Despite the lack of official details, new information about GTA 6 is still emerging from various sources, letting us make some assumptions. For instance, former Rockstar Games producer John Ricchio, in a recent interview with Kiwi Talkz, reveals that the sixth installment will be "monstrous" in terms of detail and suggested the studio might reuse cut content —not just from previous GTA games but from other, unrelated projects too—something Rockstar Games did before with GTA IV. Kiwi Talkz himself, who has ties to developers and insiders, teased in a separate interview that GTA 6 would be lengthy, stating that the game will be "very, very long."
