Palworld 1.0: Alla 72 nya vänner och var man hittar dem
Palworld 1.0 is here, and it packs the biggest single haul of Pals the game has ever shipped: 72 new faces spread from the starting beaches all the way to the endgame World Tree. The update did more than pad the Palpedia, though. The same patch also redraws a few of Palworld's most obvious Pokémon lookalikes, reworking Verdash, Robinquill, and Fenglope so they stop mirroring their counterparts so closely. If you loaded an old save, your Palpedia now shows fresh gaps where the new Pals slot in, since Pocketpair dropped many of them retroactively into zones you already cleared. The full roster now sits at 287. Below is every one of the 72 newcomers, what each does, and where to grab it.
All 72 New Pals & Location
The 72 additions break into 47 brand-new species and 25 variants, which are recolored, re-elemented takes on Pals you already know. You can read a variant's new element straight off its suffix: Ignis is Fire, Cryst is Ice, Noct is Dark, Lux is Electric, Terra is Ground, and Botan is Grass, while the Primo line leans Neutral instead of copying a single element. The table runs by Paldeck number, so the day-one catches sit up top and the World Tree bosses land at the bottom. Bosses and Alpha-tier Pals are flagged in the skill column, since those take a real fight rather than a quick Sphere.

One name is missing on purpose. Astralym, No. 204, is the level-80, typeless final boss at the core of the World Tree, and you fight it rather than catch it, so it never lands in your box or drops an egg. Everything above it is fair game, but the higher the number, the tougher the encounter and the deeper into the endgame you need to be. Panthalus is the other special case: you cannot skip it, since it is a scripted questline catch that unlocks the World Tree in the first place.
How To Catch Pals in Palworld 1.0
Catching all 72 comes down to bringing the right kit for each biome rather than grinding one spot.
- Stock Ultra and Legendary Spheres, since weaker throws bounce off the late-game bosses.
- Raise Capture Power by handing Mimog Effigies to a statue for a flat catch-rate boost.
- Freeze tough targets with an Ice hit and keep a Muffly in the party for the stacked bonus.
- Pack cold gear for the Frostbound Mountains, the Boreal Summit, and the World Tree; bring heat gear for Mount Obsidian and the desert.
- Carry a flying mount or the Wing Pack for Sunreach's floating platforms.
- The Capture Bonus caps at five of a species now, so spread your Spheres across new Pals.
Route the hunt by level. The Windswept Hills, Moonless Shore, and Desiccated Dunes cover most of the early roster from Lv. 1 to 40, so clear those before you gear up for anything colder. The Wildlife Sanctuaries and the Astral Mountains fill the mid-game around Lv. 30-55, though the Sanctuaries now patrol hostile drones that hit hard, so treat them as a fight rather than a stroll. Sunreach and the World Tree hold everything from Lv. 65 up, and both are locked behind story progress, which means overleveling alone will not open the door. Save the World Tree for last, since its wild Pals sit above level 70 against the new level cap of 80.
Standout Pals Worth Catching First
These earn a Sphere on sight, from must-have bosses down to a couple of catches worth it for the gimmick alone.
Muffly

Muffly punches above its tier for catching rather than combat, which is why it belongs in your kit before almost anything else. Its Fluffy Flutterer skill raises the capture rate on any Frozen Pal, so an Ice hit plus a Muffly in the party turns tough targets into easy grabs for the rest of the run. Pick one up early in the Moonless Shore around Lv. 1-30.
Tanzee Ignis
Tanzee Ignis is the early novelty worth a detour, a Fire monkey whose Chipper Chimp Gunfire skill hands it an assault rifle to spray at everything nearby. It roams the bluffs around the Desolate Church unarmed, which makes it an easy catch, and it stays around as comic relief long after it stops being optimal. Grab one in the Windswept Hills between Lv. 1 and 30 while the gun trick is still novel.
Skutlass

Skutlass is the mid-game pick you keep for the gimmick alone. Its Fish Fillet skill folds the Pal into a katana rated at 2600 Attack that you swing yourself, though hold that form too long and Skutlass drops incapacitated. Look for it along the Twilight Dunes beaches around Lv. 20-35, and don't be shy about turning your fish into a sword.
Panthalus

Panthalus is a mandatory pickup, not an optional one: you need it to drop the barrier and enter the World Tree at all. The catch plays out as an ocean boss fight where dodging waves matters more than raw damage, and it becomes a guaranteed grab once its health is low enough. As a flying mount that patrols your base and bombs raiders, it keeps earning its slot long after the questline.
Solenne
Solenne is a base-builder's prize, a Dark/Neutral Pal that ranks Handiwork at level 8, near the top of the scale. Park it on a workbench and it clears crafting queues faster than almost anything else you pull from this update.
Renjishi
Renjishi is Solenne's Fire counterpart on work duty, a World Tree boss that brings Kindling at level 8 for your furnaces and forges. As a boss it takes a real fight to bring down, but a maxed Kindling worker pays that back every time you smelt in bulk. Look for it deep in the World Tree once your team survives Lv. 75+ spawns.
Aegidron

Aegidron is the endgame trophy for breeders as much as fighters, a Dragon/Ground World Tree boss whose Indestructible Fortress skill turns it into a wall in combat. It also sits at the very top of the breeding ladder: test batches show Hartalis pairs hatching Aegidron straight out of a Mutated Egg, so it doubles as a mutation payoff. Beat it in the World Tree at Lv. 75+, or chase it through breeding if the wild fight keeps ending badly.
Astralym
The level-80 Sealed Calamity is the marquee Pal of the whole update, a typeless final boss with no elemental weakness to exploit. You cannot add it to your box, but the fight at the core of the World Tree is the story's true climax and the payoff for gearing a fully Awakened team through the Mutations systems. Treat it as the goal you build toward rather than a catch.
Palworld Updates: Early Access vs 1.0
Getting here took some doing. Despite Nintendo lawsuit drama at 2025, Palworld kept a player base most viral hits would envy, holding around 85,000 concurrent Steam players and spiking past 200,000 on big updates, a range that sits next to CS2, Dota 2, and GTA V. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company had sued Pocketpair in Japan back in September 2024 over patents covering the throw used to catch a creature and the act of riding one, and the studio chose to patch the disputed mechanics out, pulling the Pal Sphere and reworking gliding so players needed an actual glider. By November 2025 the case had narrowed to older builds of the game, with IP analysts pegging the maximum payout near $30,000 against an opening demand of roughly $66,000. The court hears evidence on October 1 and delivers its opinion on November 9, 2026.
Then 1.0 arrived on July 10, 2026, and the numbers went vertical. The launch pulled nearly 900,000 players on Steam the following day, about 855,000 concurrent, Palworld's best turnout since its January 2024 debut and second only to that all-time peak near 2.1 million. Pocketpair shipped the release with 27 PDF pages of patch notes and no price increase, calling it a small thank-you to the community. On top of the 72 Pals above, the update opened the long-teased World Tree, handed players the Wing Pack for solo flight, and quietly redrew several of the game's most blatant Pokémon lookalikes. Save files carried over, though the studio still suggested a fresh run to see the reworked early game.
The groundwork was laid before launch. At the tail end of 2025, Palworld collected four Steam medals at Valve's Best of 2025 Awards, silver for Most Played and Most Played on Steam Deck plus bronze for Top Seller and best Controller game, with Hollow Knight: Silksong taking the headline prize. A two-year-old game still in early access finishing that high is not where anyone filed Pocketpair's "Pokémon with guns" back in January 2024. The studio kept expanding on other fronts too, shipping an ULTRAKILL crossover in December 2025, turning an April Fool's gag into a real Palworld dating sim, and licensing a mobile version to KRAFTON, so the 72 new Pals are one piece of a much busier stretch.
