It’s been quite some time since Naughty Dog shared official information about its new project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The game was announced in December 2024, but a recent statement from the developers suggests that the project might be nearing its completion.

On its social media, the developers announced the completed motion capture for the actors involved in the production of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The studio also added that it will definitely share more details when the time is right. Confirmed cast members include Tati Gabrielle (Jordan A. Mun), Kumail Nanjiani (Colin Graves), T.J. Ramini (Priest), Halley Wegryn Gross (AJ), Troy Baker, Tony Dalton, Merle Dandridge, Stephen A. Chang, and others.

Although Naughty Dog hasn't confirmed when the next Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet showcase will take place, it could happen already this week. Sony has confirmed that the next State of Play presentation is scheduled for September 3, and shortly before the announcement, rumors surfaced about a September show featuring the studio’s project —in the context of a gameplay reveal. Given that the rumors about State of Play have been confirmed, there are only a few days left to find out whether the information about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is valid.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is an upcoming action-adventure PlayStation 5 exclusive, which is rumored to be twice as big as The Last of Us: Part 2 and feature RPG elements. The release date for Naughty Dog’s latest title remains unknown for now.
