Capcom avslöjade uppdaterade försäljningssiffror för Resident Evil-serien, Pragmata och Onimusha: Way of the Sword

2026 has been an extremely successful year for Capcom. All the studio's games have received extremely positive reviews from critics and players alike and have also posted solid financial results. The latter, incidentally, is confirmed in the publisher's latest financial report.

Capcom shared the latest figures regarding its key franchises and new games in its latest financial report. As for its flagship franchise, Resident Evil, the ninth installment, titled Requiem, has sold over 8.5 million copies, while the remake of the second game has surpassed the 20-million-copy mark. The report also mentions sales figures for other titles. Sales of Pragmata, the studio’s new IP, are approaching the 3 million mark (2.73 million), and the return of Onimusha can also be considered a success—1.78 million copies sold since the release of the new game, Way of the Sword, in September.

Capcom updated the sales for multiple of their franchises including Resident Evil.

Once again, we’re seeing Capcom achieve significant financial success, and the studio has no plans to slow down. As is well known, a story DLC is in development for Resident Evil Requiem, and a new remake—Resident Evil Veronica—will be released next year.

As for Pragmata, Capcom has previously hinted that, thanks to its strong financial performance, the game could evolve into a new franchise —and that will most likely be the case. We’re also seeing the success of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which could also lay the groundwork for new games in the franchise.

Let's not forget the rumors about Capcom officially developing a remake of Dino Crisis —one of the most anticipated projects among the studio's fans. Given the reaction to the return of Onimusha, this seems like the next logical step for the developer.
